Linda Wolszon, Ph.D. Primary Affiliation: Texas Christian University |
Dr. Linda Wolszon is the Director of the MU Employee Assistance Program and a licensed psychologist at the MU Counseling Center. Dr. Wolszon began working for the MU Counseling Center in 1993 and for the MU Employee Assistance Program in 1996. She became the Director of the Employee Assistance Program in 2000. In addition to providing brief counseling and referrals to MU faculty and staff, Wolszon provides consultation and training to University departments, managers, and employees on improving work relationships, creating a respectful workplace, preventing workplace violence, and dealing with difficult or troubled faculty/employees. Dr. Wolszon received her B.A. in Botany from the University of Texas at Austin (1980), and worked as a researcher at the University of Texas System Cancer Research Center for five years before returning to the University of Texas at Austin to study Counseling Psychology, where she received her M.A. and Ph.D. She was awarded the Psychotherapy with Women Award by the American Psychological Association’s Division 35 in 1997.
