Howard S. Schwartz is a professor of organizational behavior at Oakland University. He has his PhD from Cornell. Schwartz is interested in irrational processes in organizations and society. Among his published works are Narcissistic Process and Corporate Decay: The Theory of the Organization Ideal (New York University Press) and Revolt of the Primitive: An Inquiry into the Roots of Political Correctness (Transaction.) His next book has the tentative title Society Against Itself: Organization in the Age of Hysteria. He currently lives in Milford, Michigan with his wife Ann Winston and their dog Spencer, but he expects to move before too long to the Yucatan Peninsula.
